Millie Conner

Mrs. Millie Ann Wix Conner 86, of Villa Rica, GA passed away, Monday, May 11, 2015 at her residence. She was born March 17, 1929 in Douglas County, GA the daughter of the late Ernest Offord Wix and the late Mrs. Annie Lois DeFoor Wix. She was retired from Arrow Shirt Company and was a member of the Gospel Time Baptist Church in Draketown. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Bro. Bud Wix. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Lucius Conner of Villa Rica, daughters and son-in-law, Nonie Cheatwood, Lydia and Ronald Prather and Joy and Bill Brown all of Villa Rica, sister and brother-in-law, Jayne and Charles Mobbs of Marietta, sister-in-law, Sue Wix of Villa Rica, 6 grandchildren, Wendi and Paul Turner of Carrollton, Shane and RayLene Cheatwood of Villa Rica, Heather McDonald of Villa Rica, Hannah and Nathan Alderson of Huntsville, AL., Nathan and Shannon Prather of Pelham, AL and Michelle Brown of Villa Rica, 6 great grandchildren, Olivia Shadrix of Carrollton, Meredith Turner of Carrollton, Kaylee Cheatwood of Villa Rica, Sam Alderson, Jacob Alderson, Christian Alderson and Lena Alderson all of Huntsville, AL a number of nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Tuesday, May 12, 2015 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Bro. David Post and Bro. Wendell Hurston officiating. Musical selections will be provided by Margie Post and Barbara Houston. Interment will follow in the Melrose Hill Memorial Gardens in Villa Rica with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Shane Cheatwood, Ronald Prather, Nathan Prather, Nathan Alderson, Paul Turner and Herman Houston.
