Mr. Morgan Russell “Rusty” Shirley, 57, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2017. A native of Douglasville, he was born November 13, 1959 the son of Mrs. Helen Bagwell Shirley and the late Mr. Bobby Heyward Shirley. He worked as a painter. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and riding four-wheelers. He was a fan of Jerry Lee Lewis. He enjoyed playing slot machines. He enjoyed traveling, especially cruises. He is survived by his daughter, Deann Shirley of Douglasville and granddaughter, Hayley Locke; son, Clinton Florence of Douglasville; his mother, Helen Bagwell Shirley of Douglasville; stepdaughter, Wendy Nixon; grandchildren, Hunter Nixon, Peyton Nixon, and Braxton Nixon; ex-wife, Angel Florence of Powder Springs; nephew, David Shirley of Tennessee; niece, Donna Shirley of Douglasville. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Thursday, February 16, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, February 17, 2017 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville.
