Mr. Emmett Miller, age 83, of Liberty Road, Winston, Georgia passed away Monday, October 2, 2006 at Wellstar Tranquility Hospice. He was born June 25, 1923 in Hawkinsville, Georgia. He was of the Baptist Faith. He was an avid Braves Fan and cherished his many friends at the Douglas Senior Citizens Center. He was known as âGranddaddyâ to everyone and he was loved and cherished by his friends and family. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Fannie Mae Green King Miller on April 1, 2000. He is survived by one daughter, Frances Carden of Villa Rica; four sons and daughters-in-law, Carrol and Pat King of Jacksonville, FL, Doyle and Debbie King of Bremen, Larry and Connie King of Deborgia, Montana and W.R. and Joan King of Winston; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, October 5, 2006 at 11:00 AM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny White officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens with his grandsons serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel on Wednesday, October 4, 2006 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
