Mr. Fred Alton Hayes

Mr. Fred Alton Hayes, 71, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Friday, June 16, 2006 at Portsbridge Hospice in Austell. He was born August 31, 1934 in Paulding County, Georgia the son of the late Mr. John William Hayes and the late Mrs. Allie Frances Thaxton Hayes. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Paulding County, Georgia. He was a retired mechanic from the Fulton County Grounds Department. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters. He is survived by one sister, Evelyn Monroe of Douglasville; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, June 18, 2006 at 2:00 PM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Garrett officiating. Interment will follow at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery on Braswell Mountain Road. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel on Saturday, June 17, 2006 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Sunday, June 18, 2006 from 9:00 AM until the funeral hour.
