Mr. George Joseph Grantham

Mr. George Joseph Grantham, age 72, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Sunday, July 20, 2008. A Douglas County Native, he was born April 6, 1936 the son of the late Mr. Lucius Grantham and the late Mrs. Sarah Pritchard Grantham. He married Josie Dollar on June 8, 1973 in Douglasville. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Douglasville and was a truck driver. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing and he enjoyed watching football. He is survived by his wife, Josie Dollar Grantham of Douglasville; daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Matt Daniel of Douglasville; sons, Ricky Grantham of Carrollton and Anthony Grantham of Douglasville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Nell and Don Browning of Temple and Mary Sue and Billy Hudson of Alabama; grandchildren, Tiffany Benjamin, Robert Adams, Brittany Adams, Paige Daniel, and Kristin Daniel; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at 11:00 AM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Marbut officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. The following will serve as pallbearers: Robert Adams, Matt Daniel, Charles Pritchard, Jimmy Grantham, Lane Grantham, and Ronald McCombs. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Tuesday, July 22, 2008 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
