Mr. Thomas M. âMacâ Kilgore, 70, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Thursday, October 13, 2005 following a brief battle with Cancer. He was born January 20, 1935 in Douglas County, Georgia the son of the late Steve E. Kilgore and the late Mrs. Lois Harper Kilgore. He was a lifetime member of County Line Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Berry College and after which he served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Kilgore retired from CSX Transportation after 39 years where he worked in Sales. He loved his family, his church, and enjoyed playing golf and fishing with friends. Mr. Kilgore served as a State Representative for Douglas County for 18 years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Carol McLendon Kilgore of Douglasville; two daughters and son-in-law, Terri Kilgore of Douglasville and Pam and Steve Platt of Douglasville; one sister, Frances Wheeler of Douglasville; one brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Lynn Kilgore of Douglasville; 2 grandchildren, Lindsay Platt and Will Platt both of Douglasville; several nephews, many relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, October 15, 2005 at 1:00 PM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Pastor David McLendon and Rev. R.C. âIkeyâ Watson officiating. Interment will follow at County Line Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel on Friday, October 14, 2005 from 3:00 PM until 8:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the County Line Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1814 N. County Line Road, Lithia Springs, Georgia 30122.
