Mrs. Allie Thelma Holbrook Savage, 88, of Highway 166, Douglasville, Georgia passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at Wellstar Douglas Hospital following an extended illness. She was born February 8, 1917 in South Carolina the daughter of the late Mr. Jesse Holbrook and the late Mrs. Melissa Smith Holbrook. She was of the Baptist Faith and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest "Boots" Savage of January 10, 1980; sister, Addie Bell Clark and brothers, Carl Holbrook, Frank Holbrook, and Bernice Holbrook. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara Savage of Douglasville, Juanita and Keith Whitton of Hiram, and Regina and Calvin Williams of Temple; one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Susan Savage of Douglasville; one sister, Nina Murray of Cornelia; two brothers and sister-in-law, Wayne Holbrook of Douglasville and Floyd and Frances Holbrook of Cornelia; special friend, her Meals on Wheels volunteer, Stephanie Panse of Douglasville; 9 grandchildren, Stacey and Tony Alongi of Acworth, Mitchell Whitton of Hiram, Matthew Whitton of Hiram, Mary Melissa Smith of Douglasville, Jessica and Brett Maddocks of Danville, KY, Brandon Savage of Douglasville, Tonya and Chris Hardy of Carrollton, Noel Tati of Temple, and Timothy Tati of Temple; 3 great grandchildren, Bryce Alongi of Acworth, Madeline Whitton of Hiram, and Hayden Hardy of Carrollton; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, July 29, 2005 at 1:00 PM from Ebenezer Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Lowery officiating. Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery with her grandsons serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel on Wednesday, July 27, 2005 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Thursday, July 28, 2005 from 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM.
