Mrs. Bobbie Jean Calhoun, 74, of Lithia Springs, Georgia passed away Saturday, November 22, 2008 at Heartland Hospice following an extended illness. She was born August 5, 1934 in Bowdon, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. George Henry Lovvorn and the late Mrs. Mary Maude Kemp Lovvorn. She married Jack Calhoun on May 17, 1952 in Carroll County. She was of the Baptist Faith. She retired from the banking industry as a bank teller in 1973. She and her husband, Jack founded the Jack Calhoun Tire Company in 1976. She was an excellent cook and was an avid collector of cookbooks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Calhoun; sisters, Katherine Rollins and Doris Gibbs; and brothers, Kermit Lovvorn, Doc Lovvorn and Kenneth Lovvorn. She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Sheryl and Anthony Parson of Lithia Springs and Sandra and Van McLarty of Lithia Springs; one sister, Myrtis Haynes of Bowdon; one brother, Curtis Lovvorn of Bowdon; five grandchildren and their spouses, Ron Newsom of Lithia Springs, Brandy and Jesse Barton of Lithia Springs, Jason and Missy Crook of Douglasville, Tiffani and Richard Bagby of Lithia Springs, and Josh and Ashley Crook of Lithia Springs; great-grandchildren, Lindsey Barton, Whitney Barton, Landon Bagby, Austin Kittridge, and Addison Crook; her caretaker and friend, Maggie Johnson; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at 2:00 PM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Louie Winstead officiating and Mrs. Karen Rollins rendering the eulogy. Interment will follow at Mozley Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Monday, November 24, 2008 from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM and Tuesday, November 25, 2008 from 9:00 AM until the funeral hour.
