Mrs. Buna Francis Smallwood Swanson

Mrs. Buna Francis Smallwood Swanson, age 82, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Friday, November 30, 2007 at Tanner Medical Center in Villa Rica. She was born July 8, 1925 in Douglas County, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. Lacey Smallwood and the late Mrs. Esther Martin Smallwood. She was a member of New Brooklyn Baptist Church in Temple where she served as a Sunday School Teacher. She was a member of the Temple Chapter of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Swanson enjoyed playing the piano. She is survived by her husband, J.W. Swanson of Villa Rica; two sons, Ronnie Swanson of Villa Rica and Jimmy Ray Swanson of Temple; one sister, Marvine Frank of Lawton, OK; brothers, Eddie Smallwood of Centre, AL and Donald Hemmings of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Cindy Swinhart, Cathy Swanson, Eric Brown, Crystal Brown, Lamar Golden, and Mark Golden; 10 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, December 3, 2007 at 1:00 PM from New Brooklyn Baptist Church in Temple with Pastor Milford Ballanger and Pastor Aaron Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at New Brooklyn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Sunday, December 2, 2007 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
