Mrs. Cleo Purser Street, age 79, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at Heartland Hospice. She was born September 22, 1927 in Harris County, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. Phillip Jack Purser and the late Mrs. Lillian Cornell Chapman Purser. She was a member of Arbor Heights Baptist Church. She retired as a tax auditor from the State of Georgia Department of Revenue following over 20 years of service. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, O.G. Street. She is survived by one daughter, Connie Hunt of Douglasville; one sister, Sue Martin of Hampton; one brother, Phillip Purser of Griffin; one granddaughter, Jennifer Hunt; one great-granddaughter, Chloe Isabella Hill; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, March 16, 2007 at 2:00 PM from Arbor Heights Baptist Church with Pastor Andy Gray officiating. Musical selections of “It is Well With My Soul” and “Blessed Assurance” will be rendered by Mr. Melvin Hunt, accompanied by Ms. Debbie Mayfield. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. The following will serve as pallbearers: Colton Hamrick, Melvin Hunt, Duane Smith, Rick Smith, Rickey Rollin, Bobby Long and Obie Garcia. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel Thursday, March 15, 2007 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Those desiring to do so may make contributions to the Word of Life Ministry at Arbor Heights Baptist Church, 3506 Reynolds Road, Douglasville, Georgia 30135.
