Mrs. Dolareese Rosa Bailey Steely

Mrs. Dolareese Rosa Bailey Steely, age 78, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Saturday, December 1, 2007 at Wellstar Douglas Hospital. She was born June 29, 1929 in Hapeville, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. Homer Bailey, Sr. and the late Mrs. Lucile Jackson Bailey. She married J.C. Steely on June 25, 1948 in Atlanta. Mrs. Steely was a member of Jefferson Avenue Baptist Church in East Point where she served on the baptism committee and in the church nursery for many years. She was a homemaker and a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her hobbies included going to craft shows, doll making, and she enjoyed genealogy research. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, J.C. Steely of Douglasville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Mike Bousman of Douglasville and Delaine and Mike Watts of Dallas; sister, Blanche Goodman of Fayetteville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Homer Bailey, Jr. and Louise Bailey of Cleveland, George and Eileen Bailey of Paulding County, and Charles Bailey of Bowersville; grandchildren, Brittany Bousman, Brooke Bousman, and Madison Watts; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at 1:00 PM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Richardson officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Monday, December 3, 2007 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
