Mrs. Erlene Laverne Woods, age 76, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at Wellstar Douglas Hospital. She was born August 22, 1930 in Florence, Alabama the daughter of the late Mr. Luke Holden and the late Mrs. Ida Bates Holden. She was a devoted member of Central Baptist Church in Douglasville and was a homemaker. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed antiques. She loved to sew and made beautiful hand made quilts. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Woods. She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Mylinda Casbarro of Douglasville and Johnnie and Philip Sanders of Elberton; two sisters, Evelyn Waldrop of Pinson, AL and Regina Height of Nobleville, IN; four brothers, Sonny Holden, Billy Glenn Holden, Albert Holden all of Nobleville, IN and Floyd Bromley of Pinson, AL; 1 grandson, Jason Scott Driver and 1 great-grandson, Austin Scott Driver; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, October 7, 2006 at 11:00 AM from the Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel with Dr. Garry Eudy and Rev. Charles Gibbs officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens in Mableton. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Friday, October 6, 2006 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
