Mrs. Johanna Romanelli, 80, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Monday, November 5, 2007 at Wellstar Tranquility Hospice. She was born June 16, 1927 in Brooklyn, New York. She married John Romanelli May 11, 1947 in Brooklyn, New York. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church. She was a homemaker and worked as a waitress outside the home. Mrs. Romanelli was known by many as âMrs. Clausâ. She was very involved in her community and was a member of the Ladies Guild, Woodie Fite Senior Center, and the Douglas County Meals on Wheels Program. She volunteered each year at the Douglas County Senior Picnic. She devoted her time to helping those in need and making her community a better place. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, John Romanelli of Douglasville; three sons and daughters-in-law, James and Susan Romanelli of East Setauket, NY, John and Veronica Romanelli of Hicksville, NY, and Michael Romanelli of Douglasville; grandchildren, Paul Romanelli, Christopher Romanelli, John Romanelli, Nicole Romanelli, Jimmy Romanelli, Michael Romanelli, Matthew Romanelli; great grandson, Ari Romanelli. Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Friday, November 9, 2007 at 11:00 AM from St. Theresa Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Wednesday, November 7, 2007 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM and Thursday, November 8, 2007 from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM.
