Mrs Josephine "Jo" Fowler Zamesnik

Mrs. Josephine “Jo” Fowler Zamesnik, 79, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Monday, July 10, 2006 at Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Austell. She was born September 2, 1926 in Fulton County, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. Ned B. Fowler and the late Mrs. Josephine Lynch Fowler. She was a member of Concord Baptist Church where she served in the Choir and was a member of WMU. Mrs. Zamesnik retired from the Accounting Department at Georgia Power Company in 1989. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Jay Batten, Jr. She is survived by her husband, Richard Zamesnik of Villa Rica; one son and daughter-in-law, Edward Wayne Batten and Joan Cianciola-Batten of Fairburn; one half-brother, Ned Fowler of Texas; three grandchildren, Rebecca Batten Boothe and Thomas Andrew Boothe, Katherine “Katy” Batten, and David Ferrill. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, July 13, 2006 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Don Rackley officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Douglasville. The following will serve as pallbearers: James Williams, Marvin Hunter, Louis Ewing, Don Scoggins, Brian Beaty, and Mike McFarland. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica on Wednesday, July 12, 2006 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
