Mrs. Kasey Rey Samples McGinnis

Mrs. Kasey Rey Samples McGinnis, 28, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Friday, November 2, 2007 at Wellstar Douglas Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born August 27, 1979 in Douglas County, Georgia the daughter of Mr. Douglas R. Samples and Mrs. Joyce Rebecca “Becky” Watts Samples. She was a member of Ephesus Baptist Church. She was a 1997 graduate of Lithia Springs High School. She worked as an office manager for Faithful & Gould in Atlanta. Kasey was a loving wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her sister, Ashley Rebecca Samples; maternal grandmother, Inez Watts; paternal grandfather, Ernest Samples and paternal grandmother, Dottie Samples. She is survived by her husband, Travis J. McGinnis of Villa Rica; daughter, Avree Grace McGinnis of Villa Rica; her mother, Joyce Rebecca “Becky” Watts Samples of Villa Rica; her father and step-mother, Douglas R. and Gloria Samples of Panama City, FL; one brother and sister-in-law, Chad Russell and Alicia Samples of Villa Rica; her maternal grandfather, James Harold and Lois Watts of Douglasville; several nieces and nephews; two step-sisters, Sylvia Garcia and Luisa Garcia; half-brother, Dylan Bishop of Villa Rica; father-in-law, Perry McGinnis; mother-in-law, Donna McGinnis; brothers in law and sister in law, Derek McGinnis of Temple and Courtney and Chad Lamolinarc; several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, November 10, 2007 at 2:00 PM from Beulah Baptist Church in Douglasville with Dr. Billy Godwin and Pastor Wayne Bray officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Friday, November 9, 2007 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Contributions in memory of Kasey may be made to a trust fund set up for her daughter, Avree Grace McGinnis, at Douglas County Bank, 6157 Fairburn Road, Douglasville, Georgia 30134.
