Mrs. Marjorie Marie McKerley, 81, formerly of College Park, Georgia passed away Saturday, May 28, 2005 at Dogwood Forest Assisted Living Facility in Fayetteville, Georgia. She was born January 19, 1924, in Cobb County, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Ulyssess Rogers and the late Norma Aiken Rogers. Mrs. McKerley was a member of Heatherwood Baptist Church in Riverdale. She was a homemaker and had been employed by Clayton County Board of Education, Food Service Department at the West Clayton Elementary School in Riverdale for ten years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Vanoy McKerley. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Jerry Frith of Bowdon; three sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Janice McKerley of Ponce Inlet, Florida, Joel and Barbra McKerley of Gay, Georgia, John and Pamela McKerley of Douglasville; sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Robert Loyd of Powder Springs; sister-in-law, Lura Rogers of Smyrna; 15 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, June 1, 2005 at 11:00 AM from Heatherwood Baptist Church in Riverdale with Rev. Tom Daugherty and Rev. J. E. Jarrard officiating. Mrs. McKerley will lie in state at Heatherwood Baptist Church from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour. Interment will follow at College Park Cemetery in College Park, Georgia. The family will be receiving friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Tuesday, May 31, 2005, from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
