Mrs. Sarah Willard Cox, 92, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at Douglasville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness. A Douglas County Native, she was born July 3, 1915 the daughter of the late Mr. Ollie W. Flower and the late Mrs. Hattie Bell Hightower Flower. She was a longtime member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and a devoted mother. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Dewey E. Webb; second husband, Ely Cox; beloved daughter, Barbara Jean Butler; one brother and four sisters. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Lois Webb of Douglasville; one sister, Margie Morris of Gwinnett County; brother-in-law, Winfred Camp of Douglasville; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, January 10, 2008 at 2:00 PM from Ebenezer Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Powers officiating. Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Ebenezer Baptist Church on Thursday, January 10, 2008 from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour.
