Murray Glenn MixonMr. Murray Glenn Mixon, age 75, of Douglasville, passed away, Friday, October 13, 2017. He was born January 4, 1942 in Griffin the son of the late Mr. Frank Quillian Mixon and the late Mrs. Alma Addy Mixon. Mr. Mixon was a professional photographer until he went to work for 3M, retiring after 30 plus years of service. After retiring he became a Vet Tech with several veterinarians. He had a deep love for animals. He was working for John Thornton Chevrolet as a Dealer/Trade Driver. Mr. Mixon was a member of Atlanta Northlake 78 Elks Lodge. He faithfully attended Chapel Hill Road Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Ann Mann Mixon.He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline “Jackie” Mixon of Douglasville; daughters and son-in-law, Tracy Delores Mixon Bagley of Cumming, Juliet Dawn Mixon Pennington and Joe Pennington of Douglasville; son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Susan Kimsey, Jr. of Douglasville; granddaughter, Alyssa Victoria Bagley; several extended family also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Sunday, October 15, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Shirley officiating.
