Mrs. Myrtle Foster Sheffield, 69, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017. She was born June 21, 1947 in Bryant, Florida, the daughter of the late Mr. Willie Foster and the late Mrs. Lucy Maxey Foster. She was a member of Green Hills Baptist Church in La Habra, California. She retired from the State of California having worked as a Parole Agent. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Willie Pearl Johnson and Helen Hester; and two brothers, Cornelius Foster and Sammy Lee Foster. She is survived by her husband, Anthony Sheffield of Douglasville; one daughter and a son-in-law, Kimberly S. and Jermaine Frazier of Fairburn; two sisters, Deloris White and Vaughn Grant both of Florida; two brothers and a sister-in-law, John and Margaret Foster and Clinton Foster, both of Florida; two grandchildren, Cameron Frazier and Campbell Frazier both of Fairburn; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 12:00 Noon at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens in Villa Rica. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be mailed to the East Lake High School Scholarship Fund, Inc., 125 S. State Road 7, 104-285, Wellington, FL 33414. Donations can also be made online at www.eastlakescholarship.com. The East Lake High School Scholarship Fund, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and scholarship donations are tax deductible.
