Mrs. Nancy Kemp Carder, 84, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2018. She was born June 24, 1933 in Atlanta, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mr. Thomas Arthur Kemp, Jr. and the late Mrs. Sarah Clementine Thomas Kemp. She retired as an Administrative Assistant at Teachers and Employees Retirement System of Georgia following 25 years of service. She was an avid reader, especially enjoying reading cookbooks. Her favorite hobbies were birdwatching and needlepoint. She loved traveling, especially to the beach. She loved her family with her whole heart and was an exceptional mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Franklin Carder; and son, Michael Carder. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Anne and John Dunn of Douglasville; a son and two daughters-in-law, Tim and Grete Carder of Douglasville; and Lee Carder of Chattanooga, TN; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Hampton A. and Jeannie Kemp of Tyrone and Thomas L. and Janice Kemp of Gretna, LA; seven grandchildren, Melissa, Megan, Meredith, Cameron, Sara, Julie and Josh; seven great-grandchildren, Carder, Holly, Carson, Carlee, Kendall, Hallie, and Landry; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Saturday, March 10, 2018 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Rev. Justin Keating officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Atlanta. Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Dunn, Josh Hixson, Ryan Kelley, Derrick Johnson, Cameron Carder, Thomas Berry, and Todd Kemp.
