Nancy Carol Ragland Brown

Ms. Nancy Carol Ragland Brown, age 81, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2020. She was born in Roopville, Georgia, the daughter of the late Lynn Ragland and the late Bessie Naomie Merrel Ragland. Ms. Brown graduated as Valedictorian from Heard County High School. She worked in banking and finance for over 20 years and also worked with the Carroll County School System for 10 years. Ms. Brown was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church in Carrollton. She loved singing in the choir and spending time gardening, painting and reading her Bible daily. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Jenny R. Whitworth, Jean R. Phillips and Sara R. Tuggle; and her brother, Dr. Clyde P. Ragland. She is survived by her child, (Mikael) Kim Brown of Douglasville; and several nieces and nephews. According to Ms. Brown's wishes, she will be cremated. No services planned at this time.
