Mrs. Nancy Carolyn Brandon Axtell, 58, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Friday, July 11, 2008 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. Mrs. Axtell was born October 11, 1949 in Harvey, Illinois; the daughter of the late Benjamin Brandon and the late Ruth Reed Brandon. She worked as a real estate agent for Century 21 – Bryant Realty and was a member of Central Baptist Church in Douglasville. Mrs. Axtell enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Axtell. Survivors include daughters and sons in-law, Laura and Michael Jassek of Bismarck, North Dakota; Angela and Dominic Medico of Suwanee; Sarah Axtell of Douglasville; sister and brother in-law, Anna C. and Garland Sanders of Knoxville, TN; brother, Mark Brandon of New York, N.Y.; grandson, Dominic Robert Medico; and several nieces, and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, July 14, 2008 at 11:00 AM from Central Baptist Church in Douglasville with Dr. Garry Eudy and Rev. Charles Gibbs officiating. Interment will follow at Harris’ Chapel Cemetery in Winchester Springs, Tennessee with a Graveside service on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at 1:00 PM CST. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Sunday, July 13, 2008 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
