Nellie Blanche Evans Bagwell

Mrs. Nellie Blanche Evans Bagwell, 73, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away June 18, 2009 at Cherokee Medical Center, Centre, Alabama. She was born on October 15, 1935 and was the daughter of the late Mr. Clyde Evans and the late Mrs. Ima Jewell Couch Evans. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Douglasville, Georgia. She retired from Douglas County School Transportation as a school bus driver with thirty years of service. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved bowling. She is also preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Bagwell, daughter, Cathy Sue Bagwell, son Danny Edward Bagwell, sister, Mary Frances Camp, and a brother, Johnny Evans. She is survived by a daughter and son in-law, Cindy and Wandel Bragg of Douglasville, son, Randy Bagwell of Douglasville, sisters and brother in-laws, Ruth Fretwell of Buford, Georgia; Ann and Raymond Long of Douglasville, Jean Dukes of Bill Arp, Verna Evans of Douglasville, and Patricia and Collis Spivey of Douglasville, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 4:00PM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Marbut officiating. Interment will follow at Bright Star United Methodist Cemetery in Douglasville. The family will receive friends Friday June 19, 2009 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel.
