Nellie Mildred Stephens

Mrs. Nellie Mildred Stephens, age 93, passed away Friday, March 26, 2010 at Ocoee Health Care Center in Ocoee, Florida. She was born March 22, 1917 in Pickens County, Georgia to the late Mr. Thomas Stell and Mrs. Mattie Mae Sams Stell. She worked as a Leafer for a framing company. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Thurbert Stephens; children, Nellie Mae Ray, Barbara Jean Mitchell, Francis Jane Hensley, Charles Thurbert Stephens, and William “Bill” Thomas Stephens. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Helen and Jerry Adams of Kissimme, Florida, Dianne and Willie Penn of Cartersville, Georgia; sons and daughters-in-law, George and Gina Stephens of Atlanta, Georgia and Kissimme, Florida, Roger and Brenda Stephens of Atlanta, Georgia; 27 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; 40 great-great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville with Rev. Toby Stephens, Rev. Cecil Campbell and Rev. George Stephens officiating. Eulogy will be by Christina Stephens Donellan. Interment will follow at Riverview Memorial Park in Smyrna. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville, Monday, March 29, 2010 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
