Nelson Arthur Boyd

Nelson Arthur Boyd, Jr. 79, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023. He was born on February 21, 1944. He is the son of the late Nelson Arthur Boyd Sr. and Barbara Bloomquest  Boyd. He lived a fulfilling life that touched the lives of many.

Nelson's career spanned an impressive forty-six years at Six Flags. His commitment to his work was evident in every task he undertook.

 Beyond his professional accomplishments, Nelson Boyd was also known for his affectionate personality. One of the greatest joys in his life was his beloved grandson Brendon Boyd, whom he adored immensely.  He also served his country with distinction. He proudly served for six years in the U.S. Airforce before embarking on a civilian career. Additionally, Nelson actively participated in the RC Airplane Club, fueling his passion for aviation.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded death by his wife, Helen Boyd and his sister, Nancy Lovato.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Brent and Jennifer Boyd; one grandson, Brendon Boyd.

He was remembered as a kind-hearted soul. Nelson Arthur Boyd, Jr. will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

The family will have a private inurnment at Georgia National Cemetery.
