Nelson Poore

Mr. Nelson Richard Poore, age 77, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Sunday, September 18, 2011 at his residence following a short illness. He was born November 2, 1933 in Lagrange, Georgia the son of the late Mr. George R. Poore and the late Mrs. Jessie Lee Hale Poore. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He worked for Atlanta Furniture in sales for many years. He enjoyed bowling for many years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Poore; brothers, David Poore and Jack Poore; and sister, Betty Poore Carroll. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mrs. Marion Elizabeth Huff Poore of Douglasville; his daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Ronnie Daniel of Franklin; sister, Ludie Poole of McDonough; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Tuesday, September 20, 2011 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Graveside Services will be conducted Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at 2:30 PM at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Douglasville with Richard Poole officiating.
