Nettie Sue Bohannon

Mrs. Nettie Sue Bohannon, age 80, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Friday, July 31, 2009 at Wellstar Douglas Hospital. A native of Douglas County, she was born February 11, 1929 the daughter of the late Mr. Tommy Fletcher Cosby and the late Mrs. Lucy Belle Correa Cosby. She was of the Baptist Faith and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and was devoted to her family. She was a loving mother and was lovingly called “Mawmaw” by her beloved grandchildren. She lived to see five generations of her family. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald N. “Bo” Bohannon; son, Barry Norman Bohannon; brother, Mark Cosby; and sisters, Virginia Seabolt, Shelvy Thorton, and Imogene Cosby. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Sherry and James Reichert of Hot Springs, South Dakota and Nancy Bohannon of Villa Rica; her sons and daughters-in-law, Stanley and Gail Bohannon of Douglasville and Donald “Donnie” and Susan Bohannon of Villa Rica; sisters and brothers-in-law, Tommie Lou Kotil of Palm Beach, FL, Patricia and Edward Jordan of Bremen, and Ina and Charles Dorough of Villa Rica; brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Peggy Cosby of Douglasville; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at 1:00 PM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Wilhoite officiating. Interment will follow at Mozley Memorial Gardens in Lithia Springs. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Sunday, August 2, 2009 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Monday, August 3, 2009 from 12 Noon until 8:00 PM.
