In Loving Memory of Noreen Alphia Williams 1944 – 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Noreen Williams a dearly loved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and cherished friend who departed this life on March 10, 2025, peacefully surrounded by her 4 daughters. Noreen is preceded in death by her twin brother, Norman (2002).

Born in Jamaica in 1944, Noreen carried the warmth and strength of her island roots throughout her life. She dedicated her life to caring for others as a nurse, a profession she embraced with compassion and dedication. At the very core of her being, Noreen was a caregiver. Her journey took her from Jamaica to New York, where she built a life and raised her four beloved daughters. She later relocated to Florida then settled in Georgia, where she spent the later years of her life surrounded by family and love. Noreen enjoyed nothing more than cooking for a house full of her loved ones.

Noreen was a woman of strength, wisdom, and love for her daughters and extended family. She was a source of guidance and unwavering support for her daughters, instilling in them the values of resilience, hard work, and love. She was a nurturing presence to her grandchildren and bonus children; always prepared to serve a home cooked meal and words of encouragement. Affectionately known as Grandma to all that passed through her doors regardless of relation, Noreen was loved by all regardless of biological relation - Family is family and all were loved by her.

She leaves behind her four daughters, Marcia, Lisa, Desiree (Demetrius), and Dorothy (James) as well as grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family, and a host of friends whose lives she touched. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit and the love she shared will remain cherished in our hearts forever.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 1:00 - 3:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home - Douglas Chapel. Flowers may be sent to 4330 W. Linda Drive Douglasville, GA 30134. In lieu of flowers or plants, you may make monetary contributions via Zelle to (678)222-8359.
