Mrs. Norma Jean Benedict Anderson, age 73, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Friday, October 16, 2015. She was born January 4, 1942 in Fulton County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mr. Buna Ralph Benedict and the late Mrs. Doris Marie Banks Benedict. She was a supervisor for over 25 years at Audio Alert Alarm and later worked as a teacher aide for the Douglas County Board of Education. She was of the Baptist Faith. She loved sports, especially tennis, softball and basketball. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Franklin Anderson, Jr.; and brother, William Porter Benedict. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Curtis Jett of Powder Springs; sons, Richard F. Anderson III of Douglasville and John Chandler Anderson of Bremen; brother and sister-in-law, Buna Ralph and Gloria Benedict of Conyers; aunt, Darlene Banks of Temple; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
