Mrs. Norma Bernice McClure Scalera, 78, of Temple, Georgia passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017. She was born September 2, 1938 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Mr. Jessie Harley McClure and the late Mrs. Mable Inez Woody McClure. She was a homemaker, devoted herself to the care of her family. She enjoyed reading, playing video games, and sports. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Anthony Scalera, Sr.; daughter-in-law, Marie Britton; brother, Paul McClure; and sister, Inez Jolly. She is survived by her eight children and their spouses, Joseph Scalera and Kim Tillman of St. Petersburg, FL, Donny Britton of Miami, FL, Cynthia and Jack Rayment of Jenson Beach, FL, Mike Britton of Temple, GA, Janet Prosser of Temple, GA, Julie and Steve Strickland of Marietta, GA, Mike and Jackie Scalera of Buford, GA, and Angela Cohoon of Fenton, MI; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gilbert and Marge McClure of Kennesaw, GA and Joe and Jeslyn McClure of Chattanooga, TN; 15 grandchildren, Nicole Prosser, Craig Malcom, Alicia Scalera and Ty Armstrong, Nathan Connor, Tyler Connor, Kristin Connor, Breanna Britton, Kaitlyn Britton, Katherine and Aaron Mitchell, Stephen Strickland, Tyler Cohoon, Lance Cohoon, Taylor Scalera, Torie Scalera, and Zachery Scalera; five great-grandchildren, Silas Armstrong, William Connor, Blaine Connor, Trent Connor, and Scarlett Connor; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Thursday, May 4, 2017 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Pastor Aaron Calhoun officiating. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens in Villa Rica. Messages of condolence to the family may be sent at www.jones-wynn.com.
