Novie Jeanette Entrekin Wilkes, age 95, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 23, 2018. Jeanette was born in Carroll County, Georgia on February 7, 1923 to Joseph Eston and Lonie Kilgore Entrekin. She was a loving Mom and Grandmother. She loved camping, fishing, going to the mountains and was a very good cook.In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her husband, Horace Eugene Wilkes; 3 sons: Ronald David Thigpen, Joseph Thurman Thigpen and Richard Lee Thigpen; 4 brothers: Robert Entrekin, Thomas Entrekin, John Entrekin and William Entrekin. She is survived by her son, Ray (Shirley) Thigpen of Douglasville, Georgia, her daughter, Novie (Randy) Seay of Griffin, Georgia; 8 grandchildren: Sheryl (David) Clay, Cathy (Bill) Bass, Teresa (Clark) Strom, Danny (Sonya) Thigpen, Scott Thigpen, Elaine (Kenny) Carroll, Katrina (Josh) Johnson and Tony Thigpen; 9 great grandchildren: Ryan Clay, Matthew Clay, Joshua Clay, Andy Thigpen, Jacob Thigpen, Zachary Thigpen, Gage Thigpen, Zoey Johnson and Brett Carroll; 6 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Georgia on Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Georgia with Pastor Donnie Skidmore officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Lithia Springs, Georgia.Messages of condolences may be sent to www.jones-wynn.com.
