Olive Young Clark

Mrs. Olive Young Clark, age 89 of Douglasville passed away Monday, April 29, 2024. She was born May 31, 1934 in Edinburgh, Scotland to the late Mr. James Rennie and the late Mrs. Isabela Robinson.

Throughout her life, Olive exuded warmth and kindness, touching the lives of many with her endearing personality. As a military wife, she displayed resilience and grace, standing by her husband through thick and thin. Olive's passion for square dancing with her fellow group members, creating lasting memories on the dance floor. Her presence in the church community was profound, where she formed deep and meaningful connections with friends who shared her faith. Engaging in senior activities brought her immense joy. Family was at the core of Olive's being. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and she treasured every moment spent with them, creating everlasting bonds that will endure beyond her physical presence.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Truman Max Clark; brothers, James Rennie, Fred Rennie; sister, Margaret Bertram.

She is survived by her son, Garey (Melody) Clark of Greensboro; sister, Catherine Rennie of Edinburgh, Scotland; grandchildren, Heather (Keith Moore) Rennie Moore, Shannon (Sean) Perren, Matthew (Ashley) Clark, Adam (Suzie) Clark; great grandchildren; niece, Pam (Ian) Todd and nephew, Jim (Cathy) Bertram.

The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville on Monday, May 6, 2024 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. She will lie in state at Douglasville Church of Christ on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM.
