Oscar Eugene "Gene" Swofford

Oscar Eugene “Gene” Swofford, 73, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023. He was born on January 6, 1950. He is the son of the late H. D. Swafford and the late Ina George Swafford.

Gene loved his farm animals and farming, as well as fishing and hunting. He loved his family and gospel singing. Gene enjoyed a good, well cooked meal, especially banana pudding.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Swofford is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lynn Thompson Swofford; brothers, Charles E. Swafford and Herschel Lee Swafford; sister, Glenda Swafford Finley.

He is survived by his brother, Eddie Swafford of Hiram, Georgia; several nieces and nephews.

Private burial services are being conducted.
