Mrs. Ozell Swafford Hale, 84, of Millertown Road, Temple, Georgia passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2005 at Tanner Medical Center in Villa Rica. She was born February 28, 1921 in Paulding County, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. Robert Radio Swafford and the late Mrs. Lola Cole Swafford. She was a homemaker. She had worked at Golden City and Brownâs Hosiery Mill and retired in 1976. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Everett M. Hale on November 10, 1976; grandson, Gary Meeks; sisters, Floy Belle Miller and Lorene Swafford and brother, Guy Swafford. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and Rickie Meeks of Temple; one son and daughter-in-law, Martin and Dot Hale of Temple; one sister, Ola Mae Miller of Villa Rica; one brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Ruth Swafford of Temple; 3 grandchildren, Robbie and Leslie Meeks of Dallas, Barry and Robyn Meeks of Villa Rica, Ashlie and David McLeroy of Temple; 2 step- grandchildren, Bridget and Tim Thomas of TN and Bradley Booth; 5 great-grandchildren, Dalton Meeks, Justin Meeks, Mikayla Meeks, Gennie Astin, Kim Astin; 4 step great-grandchildren, Cody Booth, Brandon Booth, Brandie and Dale Bolton, Nicole and Ted Wray; 1 great-great grandson, Dylan Wray; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, October 13, 2005 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Wiley Butler officiating. Interment will follow at Harmony Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Villa Rica on Wednesday, October 12, 2005 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
