Palaki Moala Liava’a, affectionately known in hospitals by nurses and doctors as “Mr. P,” age 65, of Douglasville, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Conway Regional Medical Center in Conway, Arkansas. He was the son of the late Kalisi Moala Liava’a and the late ‘Alisi F. Takapu of Ha’avakatolo, Tongatapu, Tonga Islands.
Palaki was loving, caring, and honest throughout his life. He touched the hearts of countless individuals with his strong-willed personality and selfless nature. Deeply devoted to his family and friends, Palaki loved to socialize, bringing joy and laughter to every gathering. He had a wide array of interests that reflected his vibrant spirit. He enjoyed social media, using it to engage with others and share moments from his life. An avid football fan, he held a special fondness for the San Francisco 49ers and found great delight in cheering for his favorite team. He enjoyed sightseeing and found profound tranquility in watching the rain fall. Additionally, Palaki’s faith played a significant role in his life as he dedicated time to his church, nurturing both his spiritual well-being and his bonds with his church community.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Fungalei Liava’a and Latu Liava’a.
He is survived by his wife, Uani Mokoi; daughters, Carissa Liava’a and Luseane Latu; sisters, Melaia Mo’unga and ‘Ofaloto Pinomi; brothers, Moala Liava’a and Mahe Liava’a; grandchildren, ‘Unaloto Latu and ‘Alisi Pule Liava’a; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 27, 2026, from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Villa Rica Chapel. Visitation will be conducted by Patriarch Lamata Takapu. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 AM, officiated by Bishop Brian Merling. Interment will follow atMeadowbrook Memory Gardens.
As we remember Palaki Moala Liava’a, we celebrate a life that impacted so many through love, laughter, and unwavering loyalty. His spirit will undoubtedly live on in the memories of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
