Pamela “Pamie” Schuchard, 70, of Dallas, GA returned home to her Heavenly Father on June 30th, 2025. Born in Grand Haven, Michigan on Oct 18th, 1954 to parents Ellen and Phillip, Pamie grew to be a spirited and adventurous baby sister to siblings Ron and Darlene.
In her younger years, she loved roller skating, fishing, partying on her dad’s boat, dancing, karaoke, and boldly living life to the fullest. That boldness later encouraged her to send the handsome John Schuchard a drink from across the bar, but he rejected that drink, offered to buy her a meal instead, and that one breakfast turned into almost 48 years of sharing meals together. John and Pamie were married Oct 29th, 1977, and welcomed four children—Julie Lyn, Alisha Marie, Zachariah Arthur, and Sasshan Jo—into their world.
As a stay-at-mom, she found new joy in creating memories for her family. From roller skating kids to school, to over-decorating for holidays (especially Halloween and Christmas), and never letting her home be without homemade desserts, Pamie was “mom” and “friend” to many.
Deemed by others as the world’s greatest fudge maker and biggest believer of alien life, Pamie also had a deep love for sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. As a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Pamie was always the first to bear her testimony of the Savior, and became an avid family history hobbyist. Her existence will surely leave a mark on those who knew and loved her, and no one will ever forget how much Pamie loved reminding others that “Families are Forever.”
Pamie was welcomed on the other side by many loved ones, including her parents, Ellen Nichols Hitsman and Phillip Hitsman Jr., and her only son, Zachariah Schuchard. She leaves behind her loving husband, John Schuchard; her daughters—Julie Schuchard, Alisha Coakley, and Sasshan Guliano; her children’s spouses and significant others—Jonathan Coakley, Rob Adkerson, and Jessica Schuchard-Lorenz; her siblings—Darlene Hitsman and Ron Hitsman; seventeen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and multiple nieces and nephews.
Friends and family may join together for Pamie’s viewing on Tues, July 8th, 2025 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home (306 Westview Drive, Villa Rica, GA), funeral services on Wed, July 9th, 2025 at 10:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (205 Ensign Drive, Dallas, GA), and then a brief Committal Ceremony at Georgia National Cemetery (1080 Scott Hudgens Drive, Canton, GA) on Wed, July 9th promptly at 2:30 PM.
Flowers are accepted, however Pamie’s love for supporting missionaries was a huge part of her life. If you feel so inclined to honor her memory and help others share the “Good News” of Jesus Christ, please consider making a donation of any size to the General Missionary Fund for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by clicking the link here: Church of Jesus Christ Missionary Fund (https://philanthropies.churchofjesuschrist.org/missionary/)
