Pastor Ralph E. Bryant passed peacefully into Glory on December 2, 2006. Born in Anniston, Alabama, the son of Mr. J. D. and Mrs. Victoria Bryant, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Jack and Fred; and his sisters, Pearl Price, Barbara Daughtery and Joyce Lindsey. Pastor Bryant attended Marsh-Draughton Business College in Atlanta, earning a degree in Higher Accounting and Business Administration and a Bachelorâs Degree in Theology from Beulah Heights and Southern Baptist Colleges. His evangelistic and pastoral ministries spanned more than 58 years during which time many people came to faith in Christ, two churches were established and four church plants built. He served two years in the United States Military during World War II. He is survived by his wife, Eloise Bryant of Temple, Georgia and four nephews: David Smith, Clayton Smith, Christopher Smith and Sean Smith; many other nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville. The family will be receiving friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Monday December 4, 2006 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM. His body will lie in repose at Miles-Odum Funeral Home in Waycross, Georgia on Tuesday, December 5, 2006 from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at 11:00 AM at the Church of God of Prophecy in Waycross, Georgia with Rev. James Spivey officiating.
