Pat Hall Langston

Mr. Pat Hall Langston, age 82, of New Georgia, passed away, Tuesday, January 21, 2020. He was born January 13, 1938 in Oakvale, MS the son of the late Mr. John Floyd Langston and the late Mrs. Letris Pittman Langston. Mr. Langston served in the United State Air Force for 22 years. He worked with the United States Air Force Strategic Air Command. His service included one tour of duty in Vietnam, a NORAD radar site in Canada, and three years in Japan. Mr. Langston earned numerous Military Honors, including a Bronze Star for his service in Vietnam. He spent the last years of his career in the United States Air Force in recruitment. After retiring from the United States Air Force, Mr. Langston worked as a front desk clerk at the Dallas Post Office for 20 years. He served as a Deacon at New Georgia Baptist Church for many years, serving under several pastors. His sense of humor and sharp wit endeared him to all he met. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Adair Langston; son, Jeffery Alan Langston; sister, Dott Cochran; brother, Floyd Terrell Langston. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Delaine and Tom Nelson of Highlands, NC; daughter-in-law, Lisa Langston Bullock and her husband, Stacey Bullock of Dallas; sister, Demple Langston of Columbia, MS; two grandchildren, Benjamin and wife, Rayna Langston of Dallas, and Anna Griffin of Atlanta; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Thursday, January 23, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, January 24, 2020 at 2:00 PM at New Georgia Baptist Church with Dr. Keith Stell officiating. Interment will follow at New Georgia Baptist Church Cemetery.
