Patricia Ann Purvis

Mrs. Patricia Ann Mobley Purvis, age 69, of Lithia Springs, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2024. She was born January 27, 1955 in Middleburg, FL to the late Mr. James Edward Mobley and the late Mrs. Ellene “Buck” Mobley.

Patty was a woman who embraced the beauty of simplicity. Her years spent working at Lithia Springs Walmart in the garden center showcased her love for nature and her eagerness to bring joy to others through vibrant flowers and plants. A true Atlanta native, Patty graduated from Sylvan High School. Her time there not only equipped her with knowledge but also shaped her into the compassionate woman we remember today. Animals held a special place in Patty's heart; their unconditional love and loyalty touched her deeply. When Patty wasn't tending to plants or caring for animals, she found peace in creativity. Gardening held a special place in Patty's heart as well. Another passion that filled Patty's life was her love for blues music. But above all else, Patty will be remembered for her sweet and compassionate nature. Her caring heart knew no bounds as she went out of her way to lend a helping hand or offer words of comfort to those in need. Patty's gentle presence lit up any room she entered, and her kind spirit touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to have known her.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Leonard Purvis.

She is survived by her daughter, Amanda Purvis of Lithia Springs; son, Jessee Purvis of Lithia Springs; brothers, Allen (Jeannie) Mobley of Douglasville, David Mobley of Cape Canaveral, FL, Larry (Pat) Mobley of Baker, LA; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville on Monday, February 19, 2024 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. The funeral will take place at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at 12:00 PM with Pastor Greg Towler officiating.
