Patricia Ruth "Patti" Smith

Ms. Patricia Ruth Smith, 56, of South Carroll Road, Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Monday, May 28, 2007 at her residence. She was born April 19,1951 in Atlanta, Georgia, the daughter of Mr. James Britton Smith and the late Mrs. Valley Beatrice Summer Smith. Ms. Smith attended Cornerstone Baptist Church. She was secretary and treasurer of the West Georgia Amateur Radio Society and worked as a frame attendant for BellSouth (AT&T) for over 35 years and was a telephone pioneer. In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Steven Fountain, and her sister Shirley Wilson of LaGrange. She is survived by her fiancé, Tim Tyson; son, Daniel Wilford Fountain of Atlanta; her father, James Britton Smith of Villa Rica; two sisters, Darlene Barnett of LaGrange and Gena Holland of Helen; one brother, Britt Smith of Albuquerque, New Mexico; one granddaughter, Katie Fountain of Villa Rica; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, May 31, 2007 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Kersey officiating. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica Wednesday, May 30, 2007 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
