Paul Roger Ducasse

Paul Roger Ducasse, age 73, of Douglasville, GA passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025. He was born on August 15, 1951, in Worcester, MA to the late Mrs. Anita Bouley Ducasse and Mr. Roger J. Ducasse.

Paul attended Lowell State College and Berkeley School of Music, then later attended Worcester Junior College where he received an Associate’s Degree in Arts and Applied Technology. 

Paul was a talented musician that spent a decade travelling as a musician where he brought joy to audiences across The United States and Canada. His passion for music was inspired by some of his favorite artists, such as The Eagles and Billy Joel. He was gifted in his musical skills that he could learn to play and sing a song perfectly just by listening to it and was verse in playing all the instruments in the bands he was in.

Beyond the stage, Paul was a quiet yet hardworking individual who was a perfectionist at heart. He held a diverse set of skills that extended beyond music; he was a gifted handyman, carpenter, painter, and artist who had immeasurable patience and intelligence. He had a love of watching local sports, but his passion was golfing, that he shared with his son. Paul will be remembered as a faithful and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Paul is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Ms. Valerie Ducasse; his daughter, Stefanie Drake; his son and daughter-in-law, Christopher & Sarah Ducasse; his sisters, Ann Ducasse and Denise Lindell; his brother, John Ducasse; and his granddaughter, Reagan Drake; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 3:00 pm at the Church of Chapel Hill, 5357 Chapel Hill Road, Douglasville, GA 30135. The family will receive friends before the service from 2 – 2:45 pm.
