Pearl Bollen

Mrs. Pearl Evelyn Akin Bollen, age 89, of Austell, Georgia passed away Friday, September 14, 2012 at Wellstar Tranquility Hospice following an extended illness. She was born September 21, 1922 in Rockmart, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. William Joseph Akin and the late Mrs. Fannie White Akin. She retired from Hitco and was of the Baptist Faith. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Lee Bollen and daughter, Betty Jo Key. She is survived by her son, Willard Dexter “Dusty” Bollen of Austell; daughters, Charlotte Ann Duncan of Villa Rica and Macia Fay Sheffield of Austell; brother, Amos Akin of Haralson County; 16 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Sunday, September 16, 2012 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, September 17, 2012 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Rev. David Chaffin and Rev. Hoyt Lewis officiating.
