Pearl Evadney Morrison

Mrs. Pearl Evadney Ingram Morrison, age 86, of Atlanta, Georgia passed away Monday, January 27, 2020 peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving daughters Peaches, Janet and Merline. She was born July 8, 1933 in St. Ann, Jamaica, the daughter of the late Austin Ingram and the late Ambriozine Dixion. Mrs. Morrison worked as a nurse. She was a loving Mom and the family matriarch. Pearl was an incredibly feisty and brave woman, leaving the beautiful island of Jamaica in the 1960's to make a way for her children in America. Despite her large family, Pearl always made time for everyone. She always provided support and love for her family. She would proudly boast about all 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing delicious meals for her family, most especially each Sunday and most holidays. She was an avid reader and gardener of her beloved mint and tomato plants. Pearl also loved to go shopping and watch Wheel of Fortune and Jeapardy in her free time. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Morrison; her brother, Jack Ingram and her sister, Edna Ingram. Mrs. Morrison is survived by her daughters and sons, Merline Allen of Atlanta, Georgia, Peaches Allen of Atlanta, Georgia, Janet Allen of Atlanta, Georgia, Desmond Allen of New York, New York, Barbara Korosh of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Wayne Allen of Dunellen, New Jersey, and Natalie Morrison and her husband Rashon Rivers of Brooklyn, New York; her sisters, Hermina Ingram, Yvonne Clark, Eileen Merize and Pauline Ingram; her brothers, Babes Ingram, Alvin Ingram and Errol Ingram; 12 grandchildren, Steven, Errol, Alycia, Unique, Desmond Jr., Travis, Kevin, Brandon, Ezekiel, Zachery, Fiya and Pharaoh; 3 great-grandchildren Demar, Presley and Aubrey, as well as numerous nieces and numerous nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville, Saturday, February 1, 2020 from 2:00PM until 3:00PM. Memorial Services will be conducted in the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglasville Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 3:00PM Elder Carlos Markland officiating.
