Peggy Charles, 88, of Douglasville, GA passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2025. She was born on June 7, 1937, the daughter of the late William B. McDonald and the late Elizabeth Suitor McDonald.

Peggy’s life was a testament to the joys of family, community, and the simple pleasures of life.

Peggy was known for her unwavering dedication to her loved ones. As a family woman, she cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always finding joy in their laughter. Her home on Lake Lanier became a treasured gathering spot where family memories were woven into the fabric of her life, each visit filled with warmth, love, and countless stories.

Peggy’s passions extended beyond her family; she was an avid reader and an enthusiastic athlete. Her love for sports was evident in her participation in activities such as bowling and softball, where her competitive spirit shone brightly. Additionally, she found relaxation in fishing, relishing the peacefulness that came with spending time on the water, embracing both the thrill of the catch and the tranquility of nature.

Her remarkable life touched many hearts, and her legacy will continue through the love and laughter she shared. Peggy will be remembered not just for the roles she held but for the joy she spread and the bond she fostered among those fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind a rich legacy of memories that will be cherished by her family and friends for years to come.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Ted H. Charles and her great grandson Aerosyn Williams.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Charles Robinson; son, Gary Charles; three grandchildren, Alicia Charles Williams, Corey Morrow, Hannah Patel; three great grandchildren, Maddax Morrow, Brinlee Williams, Axil Williams.

The family will not be planning funeral services and requests no flowers at this time

The family is planning a private graveside burial at Whitfield Memorial Gardens in Dalton, GA on Friday, August 15, 2025 at 2:00 PM.
