Peggy Sue Hallford Sheriff

Mrs. Peggy Sue Hallford Sheriff, age 82, of Mableton, passed away, Friday, April 24, 2020. She was born August 29, 1937 in Toccoa, the daughter of the late Mr. John Howard Hallford and the late Mrs. Ruby Yearwood Hallford. She worked for the United States Government an administrative assistant for many years. Mrs. Sheriff was very active with the Shriners, Motorettes and the Women's Auxiliary Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Vester Sheriff, Jr; son, Richard Dale Sheriff; brother, Morris Hallford; sister, Pat Hallford. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jesse and Amy Sheriff of Mableton; sister, Liz Ward of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Wynette Hallford of Lawrenceville; five grandchildren, Katherine, Richard, Kimberly, Kelsey, and Sydney; one great-grandchild, Karsen; several nieces and nephews also survive. We are still providing services to our families based on CDC COVID- 19 guidelines. The family will have a private viewing at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica. Private Graveside Services will be conducted at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens with Rev. Tim Stephens officiating. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens.
