Peggy Ann ThurberMrs. Peggy Ann Thornton Thurber, age 72, of Temple, passed away, Thursday, March 28, 2019. She was born December 20, 1946 in Villa Rica, the daughter of the late Mr. William Ralph Thornton and the late Mrs. Pauline Smith Thornton. Mrs. Thurber was a homemaker. She loved being a mom, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed working in the yard, cleaning and keeping a clean home. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Hiram Thurber; daughter, Debbie Lynn Thurber; sister, Linda Shephard.She is survived by her sons, daughters-in-law and son-in-law, Donnie Thurber of Temple, Ricky and Brianna Thurber of Temple, James and Leslie Thurber of Temple, Joey and Evangelynn Thurber of Knoxville, TN, Tony Thurber and Greg Holmes of San Diego, CA.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Joan and Junior Shepherd of Villa Rica, Connie and Ron Noles of Cartersville, Sheila Thornton of Villa Rica; brother, Steve Thornton of Villa Rica; grandchildren, Brandi Thurber of Cave Springs, James Eric Thurber of Temple, Jessica Thurber of Carrollton, Ashley Thurber of Temple, Zoey Thurber of Knoxville, Clyde Chadwell and Chris Chadwell of Temple; great grandchildren, Josh Little of Rome, Desean Brooks of Carrollton, and Skylar Metcalf of Temple; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Saturday, March 30, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and Sunday, March 31, 2019 from 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, April 1, 2019 at 12:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Wendell Thornton officiating.
