Peter Charles Maccaroni

Mr. Peter Charles Maccaroni, age 86, of Hiram, Georgia passed away Thursday, January 14, 2010 at Wellstar Tranquility Hospice following an extended illness. He was born November 17, 1923 in Brooklyn, New York the son of the late Mr. Carmen Maccaroni and the late Mrs. Anna Napolitano Maccaroni. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Carrollton. He was a member of the VFW and was an avid sports fan who especially enjoyed college football. He was a salesman for a screen printing company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Mastronardi Maccaroni. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Carmen and Bridget Maccaroni of Hiram and Michael and Melody Maccaroni of Villa Rica; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Monday, January 18, 2010 at 10:00 AM from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Carrollton with Father Rafael Carballo officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Carrollton from 9:00 AM until the funeral hour.
