Phillip Dewey Settle, Sr.

Mr. Phillip Dewey Settle, Sr., age 64, of Oakview Drive, Carrollton, Georgia passed away Sunday, August 27, 2006 at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia. He was born July 4, 1942 in Fulton County, Georgia. He was the son of the late Mr. George Settle and the late Mrs. Margaret Lucille Johnson Settle. Survivors include his wife, Mary Wherry Settle of Carrollton; step-daughter, Michelle Chapman of Carrollton; son, Phillip Settle, Jr. of Iraq; step-sons, Donald Bathgate of Carrollton, Roy Bathgate of Charleston, South Carolina and Charles Bathgate of Warren, Ohio; sister, Joyce Cook of Mahoney, Pennsylvania; brother, Joe Logan of Douglasville; special, lifelong friend, Linda Carter of Douglasville; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, August 31, 2006 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Georgia. Interment will follow in Mozley Memorial Gardens in Lithia Springs, Georgia.
