Mr. Phillip Henry ONeal, 60, of Whitesburg, Georgia passed away Monday, July 5, 2010. He was born November 19, 1949 in Atlanta, Georgia the son of Mrs. Lucille Dodgen ONeal of Carrollton and the late Mr. Edward ONeal. He was a member of Welcome Hill Baptist Church in Atlanta and worked as a Heating and Air Technician. He was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed racing especially watching his grandchildren participate in dirt track racing in the Whitesburg area.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara ONeal; and brother, Lamar ONeal.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Bryan Duke of Whitesburg; sons, Jason ONeal and Scotty ONeal both of Whitesburg; his mother, Lucille Dodgen ONeal of Carrollton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Myra and Tommy Costner of Douglasville, Carol and Steve Lewis of Palmetto, and Sandra and Charlie Wigley of Lithia Springs; brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Brenda ONeal of Douglasville, Bobby and Gail ONeal of Tyus, Ricky and Teresa ONeal of Marietta and Mike and Janice ONeal of Fairburn; five grandchildren, Brandon Duke, Blant Duke, Kayla Duke, Blake Duke, and Victoria Abercrombie; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, July 9, 2010 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Pastor Tommy Costner officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens in Mableton. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Friday, July 9, 2010 from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour.
