Phyllis Ann Riggs

Mrs. Phyllis Ann Riggs, age 67 of Lithia Springs, Georgia, passed away from this life on November 9, 2021. She was born in Hopkinsville, Kentucky on July 2, 1954, the daughter of the late Donald Leon Spangler and Elizabeth Ann Mason. Mrs. Riggs enjoyed gardening and was well known for her green thumb. She also took great joy in music and dancing, and loved her family and especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her Husband, Robert Russell Riggs; brother, Leon Spangler. Mrs. Riggs is survived by son and daughter-in-law Bobby and Tifanie Riggs of Lithia Springs, Georgia and son, Chris Riggs of Atlanta Georgia; sister, Gayle Congdon of Cadiz, Kentucky; brothers, Walter and Wayne Spangler of Owensboro, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Isabel, Brandon, Bryant, Juliana, Noah, Emma and Caleb; one great granddaughter Elizabeth. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville Sunday, November 14, 2021 from 3:00 PM EST until 5:00 PM EST. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, November 14, 2021 at 5:00 PM EST from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville with Bishop William Nagel officiating. Following the services in Georgia, Mrs. Riggs' remains will return to her home state of Kentucky and a visitation will take place at Lamb Funeral Home in Hopkinsville, Kentucky on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 from 4:00 PM CST until 6:00 PM CST. Interment will be Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 11:00 AM CST at Rogers Cemetery in Hopkinsville, Kentucky with son, Bobby Riggs officiating.
